There has been a lot of rumors and speculation flying about concerning the health and status of AJ Styles lately. It has been reported that Styles may be dealing with some sort of injury right now, and he is also said to be in the midst of contract negotiations with WWE for a possible new multi-year deal. As far as the injury reports go, Styles himself disputes the claim that he was out due to a hernia. The story of Styles receiving a hernia originated from the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer who said that the hernia caused the former world champion to miss out on WWE’s live events over the weekend. Styles appeared on SmackDown last night and is advertised for the WWE live events scheduled for this weekend.

Yeah, about that. I don’t have a hernia. ?? https://t.co/ilqge7BlZw

Rowan made his return to the ring during the Royal Rumble pay-per-view in January when he shockingly beat down AJ Styles to help Daniel Bryan retain the WWE Championship. Rowan’s return has put at least a temporary stop on the Bludgeon Brothers tag team with Harper, who is currently out with an injury. In an update from PWInsider, Harper will be returning to the WWE Performance Center later this week to train for his in-ring return. It is unclear if WWE plans on putting Harper back together with Rowan as the Bludgeon Brothers or by the side of Daniel Bryan once he returns to television. Regardless, it sounds like fans can expect to see this former Intercontinental Champion back on WWE programming very soon.
