Smackdown Notes: Main Event for Tonight, Opening Segment, Cass Backstage, more

— Jeff Hardy vs. Daniel Bryan – which serves as a pre-qualifying match for the Money in the Bank ladder match will air last as the main event. The winner moves onto face Samoa Joe next week, with the winner of that match entering the ladder match.

— Miz TV with The New Day will be opening up tonight’s show.

— Big Cass is backstage and was seen limping around. It is unclear if he is simply trying to work the other wrestlers backstage or if he has legitimately tweaked his knee.

— The backstage talk at Smackdown is of the reports of WWE’s impending deal with Fox in which the show will be moved to Friday. The main discussion has been how it will affect the talent and the production, specifically their schedules. For what it’s worth, WWE management has not confirmed any stories to wrestlers and in fact, they are not making any comments on the matter at this time.

— Alicia Fox – who was backstage at Raw last night – is not at Smackdown tonight.
